bacon-style tempeh
this tempeh comes together in 15 minutes and is great in a wrap, on toast, or in a salad! makes 2 servings

ingredients:
4 oz./half a block of tempeh (i used trader joe's)
olive oil
1 tbsp. soy sauce/coconut aminos
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. chipotle powder
black pepper to taste
process:
start by cutting half a block of tempeh into 1/4” slices. heat some olive oil in a cast iron skillet and cook until browned on each side. mix together the marinade ingredients and brush on to the tempeh slices in the skillet, flipping once crisp and coating the other side.
